January 2000 - May 2001  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Universe
The very first version of the Universe site was started and maintained by Adam Arnold in January of 2000. It was more in support of the band formation attempt rather than the studio project. Originally hosted as a free 3 page site on Homestead.com under the url: http://universenow.homestead.com/
May 2001 - September 2001  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Universe
The first website in support of the Universe studio project was built by Adam Wheeler in March of 2001. This site snapshot would have been taken some time in May of 2001. The web site originally resided at the url: http://thirdkind.cc/Brady/Universe.htm as part of Adam's Third Kind band site. Dollar Bill rollover graphic created by Adam Wheeler.
September 2001 - October 2001  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Universe
This was one of the first sites that I built for myself, but not the very first! The very first site I built was the 3 page "bio" site which is part of this site. The original idea was to have a web ring of sorts between the bio site, lyrics, facts, and official site.  Needless to say I was a busy man back in the fall of 2001 taking on the building of so many pages. This site would have originally appeared at the url: http://members.aol.com/universefan/1.html
October 2001 - November 2001  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Universe
Here is the second self made site which would also find it's home on the old AOL Hometown site. In this version I wanted to make a more mysterious intro page which also followed the theme of the artist name "Universe" more closely. This site originally resided at the url: http://members.aol.com/universefan/bb.html
November 2001 - January 2003  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Universe
In November of 2001 I moved operations over to Homestead where I paid for my first account. (presumably by sending in a money order?)  As you can see this version of the site ties in a lot of the ideas that were featured on all the sites that came before, including my brother's Mk1 site with it's groovy space background! The wheeler dollar was another graphic that I didn't want to go to waste so I was happy to fly it for a bit longer on this version! This site originally appeared at the url http://www.homestead.com/unimusic/uni.html and then http://www.vutdevuk.com by Dec 2002.
January 2003 - July 2003  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
In recognition of the Ice Age LP, I decided to go with an Ice Crystal themed intro page!  Before I had settled on the name Vutdevuk I was already using it as my internet handle pretty much everywhere. I actually reserved the domain vutdevuk.com in late 2002 before choosing it as my artist name. I guess it was a logical choice as I was quickly outgrowing the generic Universe name. Ugh, if only I could have understood better the inner workings of PR back then, I could've been a star! This was the first site version to exist at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
July 2003 - October 2003  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
The neon rave color scheme! The main menu page had already adopted the neon look some time in early 2003. It was only natural that I also convert the intro page to the same theme. This would have been the last version of the site to include an intro page. So funny how I thought intro pages were a critical part of the web browsing experience! This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
November 2003 - December 2003  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
This was one of my favorite versions of the site, probably because it was made during one of my favoite times in my life. I don't know what possessed me to do a wide format for the home page considering that we were very much still in 4.3 aspect with our monitors at the time! This site was still hosted by Homestead at this time, and originally it appeared at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
January 2004 - December 2004  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
I must have really liked this here red theme because as far as I can remember the site was decked in it for the whole of 2004! I guess I couldn't be bothered with site maintenance during the recording of a side project as well as the Inner Turmoil LP. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
December 2004 - January 2005  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
I have a new album to promote so I better get with a new site overhaul! This was built off the "yellow tech" theme provided by homestead. I changed over to this cleaner look because I had read somewhere that I would do better business with a site that had a lighter color background with black text. I was reading a lot of advice for indie musicians at this time. Some time in January I signed up with SoundClick which had a cool easy flash creator, and so I used it to make the flash promo ad for Inner Turmoil (front page). This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
January 2005 - February 2005  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
On January 18th 2005 as soon as Inner Turmoil became available for sale, the site changed over to this version. I tried to make the album super easy for people to purchase by simply having an order module on the front page! Sadly enough I don't think I sold a single copy that day! So much for all the promotions I paid for. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
February 2005 - June 2005  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
This would be my favorite of all 3 versions of the site from 2005. By this point I removed the sales module from the front page as to not look desperate I guess. This would also be the last site version to appear on Homestead.com servers as I would cut ties with them due to their evermore abusive billing practices! I was in a bad place through a lot of 2005, and so running a website was not high on my priorities list. Needless to say I let vutdevuk.com lapse and get taken by poachers. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
February 2006 - May 2007  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
In February 2006 I once again had enough spare time and motivation to start pushing myself under the name Vutdevuk. I started a little ole free site which would serve as a portal to all the different Vutdevuk offerings from different parts of the web. The page was hosted at Putfile.com which was an operation so small that the owner would take offense simply for reporting glitches! This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.putfile.com/vutdevuk By the end of 2006 I was also starting to bounce around between the names Spirit Switchboard, and Phantom Living.
May 2007 - April 2008  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Vutdevuk
After mucking about for a while under the names: Phantom Living, Spirit Switchboard, and even Brady Arnold, I decided to go back to using the name Vutdevuk in May of 2007. The timing was great because the domain vutdevuk.com was once again up for grabs!  I registered it through Bravenet and proceeded to build an html based site through June of 2007. The site would also feature a newer version of the album cover logo which first appeared on the putfile site the previous year. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.vutdevuk.com
November 2008 - June 2012  |  Blackout - No Internet Presence
I went through a long offline period from the fall of 2008 all the way to the summer of 2012!  In that time I had made the decision to drop the Vutdevuk name and use my own name instead. There were a few Vutdevuk site variations through the spring and summer of 2008 that never got saved.  The wayback machine failed to effectively or comprehensively archive this period. I was still working on music through this whole period including the remake of Old World, as well as the new album One More For the Void, and various virtually live projects.
October 2012 - May 2013  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Brady Arnold
By the fall of 2012 I was feeling sentimental and decided to bring back the red theme from 9 years earlier. This was basically the same version from the month before but with the addition of more titles, and changes in the graphics department. I remember working a long time on the mp3 player graphics and being so proud of that work. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.bradyarnold.com
November 2012  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Brady Arnold
Keeping with the sentimental ways, I also made this short lived version of the site which was a tribute to the menu page of the first site at Homestead. This was the theme that I originally developed in the fall of 2001, which I named trip crimson. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.bradyarnold.com
May 2013 - Unknown  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Brady Arnold
In May of 2013 I decided to promote the upcoming "One More For the Void" LP by changing the site theme over to match the cover art. Luckily I still had the raw graphic elements and therefore some cool banners and buttons were made as a result! I'm not sure how long the site looked like this or if there was a different design that went up after...  In 2014 and 2015 I had my head burried in so many other projects and family issues that I didn't have time for much else. Maybe more priority would have been given if I felt more people were actually listening or paying attention. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.bradyarnold.com
September 2016 - September 2017  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Brady Arnold
In the fall of 2016 I decided to really get in there and build the best site I could!  I remember I wanted to break the mold and build something for modern times / modern bandwidth. This would be the first site of mine to fully embrace the 1080 / 16.9 standard for most monitors. I also wanted something dark as I was tired of conforming to the dark text over light background standard! I was very pleased with the large graphics and simple navigation of it all. This is my most favorite version of the site as I felt it was truly a place of my own on the web.  After getting burnt by GoDaddy, I folded this site in favor of a free Wordpress site. This site version originally resided at the url: http://www.bradyarnold.com and http://www.bradyarnoldmusic.com
June 2012 - October 2012  |  Going Under the Artist Name: Brady Arnold
My return to the web would see a name change, and a new album! One More For the Void was originally scheduled to be released in 2012 under the title "Absurdities". The album had a slightly different set list, and a completely different cover with a retro 50's theme. The first version of the website would adopt the same theme as the album art which made everything look quite pleasant, and cheerful. I was also experimenting with giving the music away for free in exchange for donations. Silly me for putting faith in people not to screw this up! This site version was originally available at the url: http://www.bradyarnold.com/
August 2019 - February 2021  |  Blackout - No Internet Presence
After my battle with youtube I decided to call it quits in August of 2019. For all of 2020 I stayed offline until finally I decided to come back in early 2021. Now I'm about to start rebuilding the best ass version of this site yall ever seen!
