A Castle Made of Ice

Never said the words to get me there. Instead we turned to run.
Didn't want to know what could have been. It ended before it begun.
The ice it formed a wall around me, and words became too strange.
Time was up, and the door had closed.  I saw your picture fade.

Building up a fortress made from ice and snow.
I will sleep in the heart of it; never feeling cold.

She bit me on my neck, they'll try to drive a stake through my heart.
I'm praying for something better than this, cos it's always falling apart.
I thought I saw you standing over me when I opened my eyes.
Vision is distorting now from the million lies.

Passed the point of no return; feelings are locked into place.
Cutting through my mind; the screams that are sustained.
My castle made of ice.... Never melt away....

Never a time for me to run and just be free.
The ice covering my eyes; starting not to see.
Many late strange cold nights in this darkened fantasy.
Solitary confinement; frozen from reality.

I built this castle made from ice and snow.
I never sleep because the screams they always grow.

Passed the point of no return; feelings are locked into place.
Cutting through my mind; the screams that are sustained.
My castle made of ice.... Never melt away....
